What is CoreID?

CoreID is an identity-anchored governance and compliance infrastructure for intelligent systems.

Each AI system managed within the platform is assigned a persistent CoreID. This CoreID acts as a stable identity anchor, allowing governance activity, compliance records, reviews, audits, and system changes to be tracked over time without fragmentation.

CoreID provides a single system of record for internal governance. Model metadata, operational context, evidence, reviews, and audit history are recorded against the CoreID and preserved as the system evolves. All internal governance and compliance records are private by default and accessible only to authorized users within the organization.

Where required, CoreID supports formal compliance workflows by structuring existing governance information into point-in-time compliance records. These records are reviewable, auditable snapshots that remain linked to the same CoreID, preserving continuity and historical integrity.

CoreID also includes a Public CoreID Registry. Organizations may optionally disclose limited, non-sensitive metadata to allow external parties to verify the existence and status of an AI system. Disclosure is controlled by the organization and can be enabled or revoked at any time.

CoreID does not certify AI systems, make regulatory determinations, or replace regulators or legal advisors. It provides infrastructure to help organizations document, manage, and demonstrate responsible AI governance as systems and requirements evolve.
